The Sarauniya Charity Foundation has empowered 40 widows with financial support to start up their own small scale business.
The information was made public through the office of the President of the Charity Foundation, Hajiya Rabi’atu Umar (Fulani).
Haj. Rabi’atu Umar (Fulani) who addressed the beneficiaries at the ceremony in Keffi, Nasarawa State
lauded the theme: “Helping The Less Privileged.”
SCF President, Hajiya Rabi’atu, said that the empowerment was part of measures to tackle challenges faced by some vulnerable members of the society, especially widows.
She said that the charity Foundation widows’ welfare scheme has so far help many widows that their husband has left them due to untimely death across the nation.
Haj. Rabi’atu urged the beneficiaries to use the starter-funds to fend for themselves and add to the improvement of the economy of the state and nation at large.
