Power Shortage: Niger assembly gives AEDC three weeks ultimatum

Niger State House of Assembly has Issues three weeks ultimatum to the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company AEDC to provide customers with prepaid meter and uninterrupted 24 hours power supply in the state.

Chairman of the committee Malik Madaki Bosso stated this during a one day stakeholders meeting at the House Assembly complex Minna.

The Lawmaker lamented that with all the 3 hydro electric dams in the state, the state can not enjoy 24 hours power supply. ” Niger State host about 3 hydro dams, and yet we can not get 24 hours power supply”, he said.

Malik Madaki said that if at the end of the 3 weeks ultimentum AEDC failed to provide nigerlite with 24 hours power supply the committee would be would be left with no option than to mobilize nigerlite and shutdown the three hydro dams in the state.
