Jigawa state Pilgrims welfare board says it has refunded over two hundred million naira to 178 intending pilgrims who were unable to perform this year’s hajj.
The chairman of the adhoc committee for the screening of the pilgrims and Director Operation Ahmed Umar Labbo made this known in a statement
He said 558 intending pilgrims paid 2020 hajj fares in the state in which 178 demanded for refund.
Ahmad Umar Labbo said the committee will visit all the five zonal offices to ascertain all those who were refunded and those who agreed to keep their deposit with the board against next year’s hajj.
The chairman said the visit will commence on 18 of this month with Kazaure and Gumel zones.
He urged all zonal officers to be at the screening centres.
